We are willing to continue learning while learning to de-form

Since 1987 we have been accumulating Escarlatas, experiences and occurrences that we want to share and make them travel through being passed on.
Both young and old. the time to learn is always, and we are willing to continue learning while learning to de-form ourselves.

We offer our services to all those curious and eager to share and transform this world. That’s why we’re here, so as to not have to settle for we’re given.

We push the game

Passing it on

Accompany and feeling

Shared beginnings, reunions, staging in a small tent and a creation in a large tent.
It is the story of our intertwined lives that will continue to intertwine.
This is what I call love.

L’IMPOSSIBLE

apprentices – second year artists – Académie Fratellini – La Plaine Saint Denis – France 2018

Idea and direction: escarlata

Show performed in the Grand chapiteau of the Académie Fratellini during the Christmas period 2018 with school sessions and sessions for the general public.

A tribute to the cleaning staff who turn into superheroes and do The Impossible. From these superheroes we have woven a dramaturgy to fly with mythology and defy universal laws.

Our desire is to give wings to young learners, to give them a taste for creation by giving them carte blanche to write their ideas and desires. This is a way of weaving utopias, challenging a common but unknown term for most mortals: sky, air. And once there, we dance!

Mater Noeuds

Circus aperitif- Fratellini Academy– 1st year apprentices 2018
Idea and direction: Jordi Aspa

Invite the air to dance …

Matter and character, imaginary and real-life characters that will awaken in our imagination, that will take us on a journey into the inner caverns of adventure and universal laws. The props speak of their direct resistance to the laws of nature by making their music, or simply by their presence, telling us tales about their history and about ours, as humans.

SCINTILLES DEI BALLON

students Flic School – Turin – Italy 2015
Idea and direction: escarlata

What impresses us most about Turin are its contrasts. The plain surrounded by the stunning Alps. The wealthy bourgeois city and its flea market “le Ballon“, where anarchy reigns for one day a week. The beauty that comes from such a market cannot be described in words; it must enter through the pores of the skin. This is the intention; to pay homage to all those who make this alternative life possible, this life which is not capitalistic, but which is bathed in capitalism. The Circus for us encompasses this freedom, this well-interpreted anarchy. Beauty and poetry together.

We want the second-year students of the Flic Circus School to perform what they have in hand, a gem! The material used sometimes has the charm of having a life of its own; each element, each object present in the market ofle Ballon, is a small story. It is these stories that we will tell them, full of eddies, balances, waterfalls, acrobatics, juggling… We sell nothing but our sincerity and simplicity at the price of smiles and hugs. Matter is a means, but not our end. Our goal is to share the invisible, the impalpable. That which makes the heartbeat.

Let’s see if we manage it ….

A show dedicated to Carol Rama, a painter from Turin …

Capitalism, make them laugh

Multidisciplinary show – Collaboration as circus specialists in the Theatre Research Workshop – 2013
Direction: Andrés Lima
Author Juan Cabestany

Capitalism, make them laugh is an artistic proposal that arises from research workshops where different artists, thinkers, economists and professionals made a serious and conscientious analysis of our society and the excesses of capitalism. That’s why we’ve always talked about theatrical experience and not so much about spectacle …

SEDERSI O NON SEDERSI

Flic School –Torino– 2nd year students – 2012
Idea and direction – Jordi Aspa
Scenography – Roberta Scamuzzi

End-of-year show for students who have attended the School’s professional course every day for two years. The common thread chosen by the director for the show “SEDERSI O NON SEDERSI” is the chair. The Catalan artist Jordi Aspa explains the title / theme of the performance as follows: “When what matters is to have a place in life; when all that is certain satisfies us; when we are all satisfied, we bring you … “ SEDERSI O NON SEDERSI. The public and the students will unite in the demand for the right to get a place in life, in the show; some as spectators, others as evolving artists. But be careful … our place is ephemeral just like our lives”. (Jordi Aspa)

To give the meaning of this continuous research, the set designer Roberta Scamuzzi was chosen who, together with the director and the guys, created an installation of chairs that becomes an integral part of the show: “Life is a search, a success. Here, then, is the chair, a stylized object for everyday use, now torn from its original function and coloured by another life, personified or elevated as a symbol of the human condition, it acquires symbolic force and becomes an extreme metaphor of conquest-loss, identity, presence-absence, pain-death, fragility, love, warmth, play, the need to communicate, and significance itself”. (Roberta Scamuzzi)
